This easy apple cake is a must try. The taste of apples combined with cinnamon and the crunch of walnuts is divinely delicious.

Wet Ingredients

  1. ½ cup applesauce
  2. 1/3 cup soy yoghurt
  3. ½ cup oil
  4. 1 1/4 cup sugar

Dry Ingredients

  1. 2 cups all-purpose flour
  2. ½ teaspoon baking soda
  3. 1 teaspoon baking powder
  4. ½ teaspoon salt
  5. 1 ½ teaspoon cinnamon powder
  6. ¼ teaspoon nutmeg powder

Additional ingredients

  1. 2 ½ cups diced fresh apples
  2. 1 cup chopped walnuts


  1. 3 teaspoon raw cane sugar
  2. 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder


  1. Preheat oven to 350 F
  2. Mix all wet ingredients in a bowl and whisk until completely blended.
  3. Sift all the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and mix well. The batter consistency should be thick.
  4. Add diced fresh apples and chopped walnuts to the cake batter and mix well.
  5. Pour batter in the cake tin, evenly distribute it and sprinkle sugar cinnamon topping. Bake for 40 minutes or until done.
