To know my true form is the first aspect of meditation. When the soul connects with the Supreme Soul it receives power and strength to face the many challenges of life. An enlightening interview by Dan Bagley, Professor of Mass Communication and Shireen Chada, Coordinator, Brahma Kumaris.

Om shanti,
The first step of meditation is to connect to yourself as an eternal being of light, full of peace, love, and purity. The next step is to connect to the Supreme Soul and fill up with His unlimited power. The Third stage of meditation is to shower light out into the world and onto all living beings. This is the way to peacefully transform the self and so the world. With practice it becomes light and easy to meditate.
Good luck, and Best wishes

I have just started learning about meditation and this video is truly inspirational, setting out the benefits of spending time to understand 'who am I' and how we can develop in becoming happier and more positive.
Will start this meditation technique for 15mins early morning and night..looking forward for the change in my life...please send me the latest videos for my spiritual wellbeing..
Purity is a deep topic. Below is a brief explanation. Soon, we will post a video on the topic on our website: releaseyourwings.org
Purity means innocent of the vices–like a new baby. No thought of harming anyone or polluting anyone. Another aspect of purity is not having any illusions or deceptions. In our meditation we 1) understand the nature of the soul is pure. 2) recollect that my original form is pure and remember God as the Ocean of Purity. We can change our purity by changing our attitude. For eg, a simple attitude to hold toward everyone is of brotherhood. Om Shanti
can you please explain to me more what that PURITY is that we explore during our meditation... i am just a beginner on meditation and i know it can help me in my everyday life to use my soul instead of my body to think better.
Thank you for providing the information on meditation I was quite impressed with the knowledge that you can meditate with your eyes open. I have been considering giving up meat for sometime, but I am conscious that it is a quick source of protein and iron etc. I am working on it!
All the best to you and the team at BK Office.
Kind regards,
Juliet
Greetings. In answer to your question: But can’t I meditate with my eyes open? I’m guessing you meant to say, “closed.” It is a recommended practice of the Brahma Kumaris to meditation with our eyes open because of the following reasons:
1. We can meditate more intensely
2. We can bring our meditation practice into daily living.
3. The chances of falling asleep are less.
Even though it might seem harder in the beginning to keep the eyes open, it is well worth the practice because, it becomes easier and you will be able to meditate while doing other things.
Warm Regards,
Bharat
I Thank my niece Alka and her husband David-- practicing BrahmaKumaris for sending me the link to this great site.
